Pizza, Pomegranates, and Puffy Apple Oven Pancake

Sleepovers are fun!  Especially when we explore new things together!   Here's some of our new discoveries:

Dinner anyone?  How about homemade pizza with ready-made dough from Trader Joe's?  A little flour, a rolling pin, pizza sauce, pepperonis and cheese - mozzarella, provolone, and Parmesan.   Voila!

We had to include a heart-shaped pizza because we love each other!  (Or that's how it ended up when we finished rolling out the dough!)

After dinner we had pomegranates and Skinny Cows for dessert.   The pomegranates were something new to experience.  Grandma ate them when she was a young girl living in California and thought it would be a fun thing to share!  It was.  Sweet, juicy seeds that pop in your mouth.  Be sure to wash your hands because the juice is like grape juice and might stain your clothes!

After all that we were pretty tired and hit the hay for the evening.  Everyone helped make the beds up and we put on our pjs and hugged goodnight.

The next morning, we decided to try a recipe from one of Donna's cookbooks:

We chose Puffy Apple Oven Pancake:

and made it ourselves!

Bailey led us in prayer:

And we served up the pancake with powered sugar and syrup.  We had grape juice too!

They were yummy!  Just ask our cousin, Jeremiah!

When we were leaving, the sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and the leaves were calling our name!

We love spending time together.  We didn't want it to end.

And, whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance;
for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24
